LIL' CLOVER
We have a local Eastern Cotton-tailed Rabbit (Sylvilagus floridanus) who has been hanging around the house for the better part of two years. Surprizingly, he hasn't found himself on the menu despite all the owls, foxes and coyotes in the area....not to mention all the feral cats.

He's so used to us that he pays us no mind most of the time and rarely runs away unless we get too close.....maybe 10 feet away. We've named him Thumper...I've Blipped him before.

Well....he's been busy and now there's a new baby all over the yard. He's about half his daddy's size and he favors the clover that grows among the grass in the yard (hence his name) despite the dandelion leaf he's chewing on in the photo. I feed the resident birds in the morning with seeds and peanuts. Thumper favored the peanuts and would actually come right to me in anticipation when I laid out the morning's repast. Clover does not share his daddy's love of Goober Peas and sticks to the clover. At least so far. Perhaps he has yet to discover the nicer aspects of peanuts for breakfast. Time will tell.

Shot through a dirty kitchen window. I'm waiting for the robin to get off the nest in a hanging planter before I wash windows. My apologies for the inferior quality.

BEST IN LARGE.
