That touch of smoke in
the air leaves a rosy glow
to all this morning

I was out on my deck before 6 getting a view of my mountains. Then, I was off to McArthur Island Park for a bit of a jaunt.

I drove straight over to the south side of the park where I could get some views along the Thompson River. Looking south to Rabbit Island, I caught a string of seagulls along the shore line. I looked west towards the lake, south to Rabbit Island and east to the downtown. It was so cool and refreshing to walk along the Rivers Trail.

I found some marmots out and about. They pop up from the river bank and peer over to the roadway and the park.

I did the circle drive and made my exit where I'd come in. I started along the roadway beside the slough to find a lovely doe walking along the edge of the slough. She gave me just enough time to catch her in profile.

I'm tied up at the office this morning, then I should be ready to start a holiday weekend without too many obligations. I expect it will be a hot and sunny few days.
