Swan

I had a drive to Coleford (Gloucestershire, UK) to do a food shop and afterwards decided on a look at the wildlife at nearby Cannop Ponds in The Forest of Dean.

I was quite struck by how green the ponds were, and not as much wildlife as I've seen previously. The white swan with its reflection was the one I liked from half a dozen taken.

By coincidence, watching the news, a person was talking about the algae in the reservoirs in Ireland and she was of the opinion a lot of the problem is from 'slurry' dumped by The Water Companies; The issue plagues the River Wye and other rivers in the UK - it's hard to understand why the government allow this!
