Nest

While I was at work, Sarah and Maria were busy in the garden. Maria was cutting the very tops of the apple trees where they had grown over the wall, and Sarah finished the mammoth job of cutting the beech hedge. Stars, both of them.

Sarah found a couple of old nests - a blackbird’s and this wee one which I think might be a goldfinch’s.

Luke and Maria made the tea - a tasty butternut squash, red pepper and sage pasta. Then we played a card game called “Love Letters” and discussed where to go for a wee break in December :-)

Now I am ready for bed.
