Picnic in the park
We seem to be having a lot of picnics in the park lately. Well, the weather is glorious, lots of us have babies or kiddies which parks suit, and they're free!!!
Today there was Eva and I, Lisa with Harry and James, and Louise with baby Rhys (wonder if I'll always call him baby Rhys?)
We stopped off at Broad Lane caff for me to get my lunch as I was so unprepared, and off we set to Lou's house where we got the pushchairs out, Harry got on his scooter, and off we walked to Cotteridge Park. It is such a lovely park. We found a spot under some trees and near to the play area, and set our blankets out.
I was all excited to show the girls Eva's new rolling skills, when who should steal the limelight, but baby Rhys, rolling over himself, slightly uphill, at 7 weeks of age!! I literally could not believe my eyes lol!!
Lisa brought chocolate brownies and mini gingerbread men, good shout Lise!! Obviously us adults had to help Harry and James get through them. I think I did kinda manage to convince Harry that the brownies were actually made out of slugs and spiders hoping to put him off. He wasn't too sure what to do when I told him I could still feel the spiders legs wiggling in my tummy lol! Hehe
Jake went off camping with his mom after school for the weekend so Mike and I had a few bevvies and ordered Papa Johns pizza. Not had it from there before but very nice it was!
