Back to Orkney

I certainly didn’t expect Orkney to be as hot as Edinburgh was when I left but it is.
Daughter #2 kindly drove me to the airport and then steered me through check-in to the disabled and elderly channel through security. I don’t know if that was why I didn’t have to remove my shoes or get the whole pat down thing- too old to be a security threat

The Cheeky Monkey Taxi service sent their main man to pick me up at Kirkwall and allow me to race around the Co-op in the town to collect some food. I dropped my luggage off at my bolt hole in Stromness and was then whisked off to his headquarters in Orphir for a meal with CMC.
It is hard to believe I had coffee with daughter #1 in Söderberg this morning and I’m having tea in the peace and quiet of Orphir tonight- two worlds in one day.
It’s lovely to be back in Stromness , it just feels like a second home to me.
