Colour

The first Crocosmia buds have opened, providing a welcome splash of colour in the garden. Of the 13 new perennials I bought for the garden this year, only one has flowered; admittedly I did plant them rather late. Hopefully they’ll survive Winter and do better next year.

Tried to get all the chores out of the way today so that for once I can have a laundry-free Sunday! Of course there’s been plenty of Olympics Games viewing sprinkled throughout the day. A sunny, breezy day of 20 degrees.

Today’s GB medal tally: Gold in Men’s Rowing Eights. Bronze in Women’s Rowing Eights, Men’s Gymnastics Floor Exercise, Women’s Windsurfing, Equestrian Team Dressage, and in Athletics 4x400m Mixed Relay.
