Greater willowherb

Parkrun this morning with legs that were still stiff from Thursday's training, the ups were better than the downs.
We had 3 of the grandchildren from before lunch until after 5.30pm. After lunch we took them for a walk by the ponds and to see all the local mosaics (some they'd seen before) and round by the horses' fields. The willowherb was near the last mosaic.
A bit of cycling watched then E and I went to Hobbycraft so she could choose her birthday present (2 weeks away) and after much deliberation she decided on a couple of things. Once home we wrapped them up and this year everyone else will get the surprise!
The boys stayed in and did their own thing and we all watched the end of the cycling and a bit of whitewater kayaking before Dad came for them.
I'd picked the gooseberries about a week ago and they finally got made into a crumble, half for today and the other for the freezer.
