Endorphins

Compounding residual jetlag with the endorphin rush of my first run in a while led to a bad night's sleep: I went to sleep at 23:00, woke at 23:40, and was up for the next four hours. Hence I was tired today.

After having a walk to stretch my legs, I eventually found the outside light that I'd bought a couple of years ago, and fitted it. The old one was full of water, so maybe that explains why the circuit keeps tripping.

In the afternoon I did a bit of work, followed some exciting elite sport: golf and women's road race. There's criticism of top professional sports being in the Olympics, but in tennis and golf there's only one gold medal for every 16 majors, and it was clear how much the olympic win meant to Scheffler and Djokovic.

In the evening I juggled cooking with following the athletics
