Housemartin Chick
It's at an awkward angle and a bit too far away but I was very pleased to see - and hear - a housemartin chick this morning. The nest is an old one tucked into the eves of a block of flats along the road.
The weather is much better than it was yesterday. The garden suffered with the heavy rain and wind so I've been trying to repair some of the damage. A friend gave more some delightfully over ripe bananas so I make a banana loaf with chocolate chips. It's going into the freezer though.
It's definitely late summer here. I noticed last night that at 10:00 pm it was pitch dark. Oof. Picked more runner beans and there are still courgettes but the harvest is minimal really. The apple tree has only three fruits. It is having a fallow year for sure.
Yoga later.
