Over Derwent

We set off to Keswick early this morning to avoid the forecast rain later in the day and were rewarded with an atmospheric vista over Derwent Water. We couldn't resist a lake cruise which provided some different perspectives and very enjoyable. The inevitable coffee and cake stop was next.

The Thursday market was in full flow with a great selection of stalls which took a modest amount of our money(!). Some other shopping preceded a nice walk along the shoreline before heading to the pub for a very good late lunch. Out of the pub and there was the rain that we'd successfully avoided.

Back to our holiday home and now thinking about packing for the marathon journey home tomorrow.
