Red Arrows
Another one of those days.
Wee brother phoned first thing to say he had a cow with a dead calf . So once I'd been round everything here I headed next door for a 2 bike rodeo to get her in to the steading. Got there eventually, she has 4 working tits ,so after a bit of phoning managed to source a spare calf. Littlemiss at her work ,so took Mrs F with me for a wee road trip instead. Stopped off at Lauder for a takeaway coffee before picking up the calf and heading home.
Dropped it off for wee brother to twin on ,then managed to give the big lawn a quick haircut before heading down the road to feed the heifers.
Mrs F headed off into town to wait on the Royal Mile to see the Red Arrows do their fly past over the Castle.
Me ? I went up the field to check the calving cows and got a grandstand view of them coming up the Forth, turning on their red ,white and blue smoke over Portobello, Arthur's Seat and the Castle ,then heading behind the Pentlands ,before emerging over the top and heading off south west in a 5/4 formation, like 2 skeans of high speed geese !
This photo is taken by Mrs F ,so a bit of a Farmer Boab blip cheat tonight. Still ,it's the thought that counts.......
