St Boniface Fair

Backblip
Mike picked up David from North Kessock and brought him back here.
Started watching Sewing Bee and abit more of the Olympics.
Headed down to see the opening of the St Boniface Fair. It was lovely and sunny and dry so perfect weather.
All the stall holders dress up in 18th Century costumes. The fair is a re-enactment of the 18th Century Burgh Fair marking the anniversary of the death of St Boniface.
The horse leading the parade is a Clydesdale called John Boy who lives at the top of our hill.
After a quick look at the stalls we went on to Cromarty. We looked at the little craft fair and bought a couple of cards and a pretty pottery heart marked with pressed wildflowers.
We sat in the sunshine on a bench looking over the harbour and Richard and Janne drove past. They joined us and we all walked down to the Slaughterhouse for coffee and hot chocolate. Delicious. We sat on a bench watching the ferry go back and forth. A smart blue car carefully drove on. Surprising how they can squeeze so many vehicles on to it.
A walk down to the Brewery to see a model exhibition. Each model takes a year to create and is made out of junk. One was made out of an old lawnmower so quite big.
A walk up the high street and down to Sutor Creek to puck up some pizzas. The rain had started so it was a rush back to the car. Back to ours to eat the pizza.
Richard and Janne headed home . We watched the film Dune 2 again
