Yellow Rattle

We went for a walk with our Friend Michele who lives in Bishop Middleham in County Durham. She took us to some wild flower meadows that have Yellow Rattle in them. Our job was to gather some seeds so she can spread them in her local churchyard.

Yellow Rattle (yellow for the flowers and Rattle for the noise the seeds make in their pods) inhibits the growth of grasses and allows other wild flowers to grow better.
