Begonia
My class went really well today. We went on a field trip to a terrific garden that I've been to several times before. The owner is a professor at one of our local universities where she teaches invertebrate biology....and spiders are her specialty :-) Their garden is focused on providing food and housing for all manner of creatures, from bees to spiders to frogs and birds. It's a fascinating place, and of course she gives a magnificent tour!
I popped outside when I got home, hoping to catch a shot of our native Woodland Skipper but they're skittish and were not interested in posing for me. So this luscious begonia had to do!
