Tiny Tuesday - Paper Boat

Today was one of those non-stop days, beginning with an early start in order to drive 30 miles to Rayleigh (my childhood town) for a 9am appointment with the dental hygienist. Teeth spotlessly cleaned and polished, I did a bit of shopping before driving back to Tiptree.

I was just thinking about getting some lunch when Geoff, my neighbour from Chesham, phoned with a couple of questions about the completion of the flat sale. I remembered that I’d promised to re-format the Fire Risk Assessment document I’d done so that it covered all four blocks of flats rather than just the block mine was in (they are all identical). So I worked on that and sent it in an email for him. This will help him, as the company secretary, with the conveyancing paperwork he has to provide for the other two flats which are being sold at the moment. I shall pop in for a cup of tea with Geoff and Rosemary next time I’m in Chesham to see other friends.

After lunch, I called for my friend Mary and we visited Hazel in her care home. Because of all the work involved with the house move I hadn’t seen her for nearly two months - she seemed happy and in pretty good health, albeit a little forgetful (Hazel is in the early stages of dementia).

Thank you to MaryElizaR for hosting the tree-related Tiny Tuesday challenge for August, with today’s theme of Paper. I’ve always enjoyed doing origami, the Japanese art of paper folding. Here is the ubiquitous paper boat beloved of generations of parents and small children, but this one is only one inch long from bow to stern. Fiddly but fun!
