Farewell
(14/8/24)
After a short night, it was tough when the alarm went off at 5:30. I jumped up and got myself to the airport for 7 AM. If I hadn't forgotten my phone in the car, I would have been right on time.
It was great to see Simon, Priscilla and Sophie again. They looked good after their time in Sri Lanka and an overnight flight! We chatted happily, I handed over the D5300 to Simon, and before you could say "Terminal Three", we had to walk towards Immigration. Sophie took the picture for me.
I drove straight to the office, where the day passed quickly. It was great to come home to catch up on some sleep. The afternoon was interrupted by the LG a/c team coming to check the unit in G's room. It is not cooling at all. The capacitor was replaced (yet again), and as it has been so windy, both units needed to be serviced. Argh.
I was expecting to hear from Keith to bring the car so he could finish the last part of the repair, but he didn't call, so I ran a couple of errands. I didn't eat out though, opting to have a jacket potato with salad at home.
