Picnic at Strathyre

Our first stop en route to Ardnamurchan was for a picnic at Strathyre. We sat in a meadow next to the car park and enjoyed the sunshine. We stopped again at the Green Welly Stop in Tyndrum for a cuppa. Then it was on to the Corran ferry and the last bit of our journey to Acharacle. Orla was watching the iPad and after the ferry Ed asked her to put it away in case she was sick. And lo and behold, she was sick there and then. She has never been sick in the car before, ever. She didn't seem unduly upset about it, just commented on the fact that it was "mashed up raisins" from her tummy. Once we got to the village it took a while to find the house as the directions were so bad. Unfortunately the weather here isn't going to be as good as we thought it was, but it is still nice to be away. Both Orla and Conor went to bed no bother and Ed and I had a nice dinner (scallops, asparagus, potatoes and chorizo). Not a bad start to the holiday!
