Large Red

Unexpectedly found myself with a day off, so decided that more damselflies were in order; hopefully in focus, this time!
I went to the Red Moss, a raised bog near Balerno, also half hoping to meet with a lizard or two, but the weather was overcast and windy; not good for either type of creature...
Did encounter a few of these Large Red Damselflies (Pyrrhosoma nymphula) and the cold temperature kept them a bit torpid, so I was able to bring the macro lens to bear. I apologise to this male if I interrupted his courtship!
