Hedge Woundwort
Today is my little Lily's 13th birthday so I've added a collage. Top left photo was taken on the day she came here aged 6 months. The other two were taken this afternoon... she's in her favourite spot on my bedroom windowsill. If its sunny its the warmest place in the house. And it was sunny today.
I had a slow wander to the village this afternoon. I went down the back lane through the allotments as usual. On my way I spotted a dead pigeon lying on the lane. There were a couple of cars parked further up the lane ( belonging to allotment holders ) and I knew that when they drove down to get back to the main road they would drive over the pigeon and squash it. It wouldn't have been a pretty sight. Luckily I had my brolly with me inside a plastic bag so I used to bag to put over my hand and I gabbed one of the pigeons legs and moved it into the hedgerow.
Did some food shopping and picked up a couple of Vinted parcels in Tesco.. One of the parcels contained a lovely almost new M & S winter coat - total price including postage was £6.90. Bargain. ( Hope its a while before I will be wearing it.) I was supposed to pick up my repeat prescription.... but I forgot!.
Found my blip shot in the back lane ( quite near the dead pigeon ). According to my PlantNet app its a Hedge Woundwort. Can't remember seeing any in that spot before. Thanks to BikerBear for hosting Flower Friday.
