Howzat!

We walked round to deliver a birthday card for a friend of ours, and on the return leg we passed the Woodford Wells Club, where a game of cricket was in progress. 

I did try and get some shots with my proper camera, but it wasn’t possible because my long lens couldn’t cope with the chain link boundary fence. However, I was able to press my phone against the fence and get some shots without any of the fencing being visible. Even better, as they were live shots I was able to choose which frame to use for my blip, so of course it had to be one showing that the batsman was run out*. 

Just occasionally an iPhone is better than a digital camera …

*I'm not sure of the correct cricketing terminology here, but perhaps Mrs HCB will be better informed and let me know.
