Do not adjust your sets...
Hit the ground hobbling running this morning with a session in the pool.
I am determined to get back into the routine of exercising in the pool three times a week. A good start today with pool jogging, stretching, dancing (my favourite :-) and a lovely float to finish.
After lunch I painted the ink drawing of the thistle that I started yesterday, which is all I have to offer in the way of a blip. That didn't take long then I tidied away my watercourse supplies and cleared my desk in preparation of painting the thistle on slate or Mairi. It won't be this thistle design or colours, something a little more traditional.
Got the base coat of paint onto the slate. I am looking forward to getting into it as slate is such a lovely surface to paint on. The proper painting work will begin tomorrow.
I have another slate looked out to tackle next, The natural markings on the middle of the slate look like a mountain so going to attempt a Hebridean scene on that one. I may be being a tad ambitious with that one but the beauty of acrylic paint is I can paint over it and start again if necessary :-))
Late afternoon was spent making a large pot of beef chilli for dinner tonight and left overs for the freezer. I was so cold today we put the heating on! Craving autumnal food in August. What a rubbish summer this has been weather wise. Here anyway!
Talk of the Northern Lights being visible here tonight. Will see if I can be bothered investigating when it gets properly dark.
