My Cottage.......

...........plus a little corner in the front garden. Anni keeps telling me I should show an image of my cottage, so I'm doing as I am told!! These pictures were taken at 10.15 am this morning on another very warm day - it is already 70deg.F.
The cottage was built as an Almshouse in 1837 for Queen Victorias Jubilee and originally consisted of one room and a scullery plus an outside lavatory and wash-house, (which were demolished) but was extended to the rear about 40 years ago. Consequently there is no garden at the back. It is very tiny but I like it.
The second image is a corner in the front garden in which I shall have my lunch later on - as you can see, although it is situated on the roadside, it is made pretty private by all the shrubs etc.. I can just see passers-by but they can't see me and if I shout "good morning" some of them (who don't know me) nearly jump out of their skins! It's quite funny.
The old seat, which must be about as old as the cottage, has just been renovated by a very kind neighbour and I'm not now worried that it will break when I sit on it.

Another beautiful morning and our local forecast is that it will reach the high 70sF. if not more.
