Rome
There's not many places where you can pop in and out of the EU in a matter of seconds, and if you want, as many time as you wish depending on your fun barrier. Paid a dreaded visit to Rome for a full day. Dreaded, because of the heat and tourists that seem to overly mob places like this lately. I shouldn't complain because both Mrs Tuttle & I contributed to the problem (for the locals as has happened in Barcelona recently). Though, it didn't stop me from fun poking at a group led by a tour guide (see extra).
Luckily for me, Mrs Tuttle has been before with church and conveniently learnt Italian before flying over. An early stop at a café by the Vatican followed by some swift shortcuts through the centre then finally at the maddened Colosseum. Even with the free street water, the heat became beyond unbearable towards the end: not something we'd recommend season wise: September and onwards would be a better time.
But we had a fab time. I tried to limit my pic taking and my film camera helped me limit my over the top touristy style snapping. A lot of what we saw reminded us both of the recent Ripley series on Netflix which was shot in Italy and in contrastily, stark monochrome. Aces
