GALILEE CHAPEL
I went over to Durham, with no further car trouble, to see the Peace Doves installation which is very beautiful. The way in takes you through the Galilee Chapel, begun in 1170 which is the resting place of the remains of the Venerable Bede. I always like to pay my respects.
Extra is the exterior of the chapel from the path above the river outside. The last time I came to Durham must have been before my knees and feet started playing up because I found the walking really quite hard going after the flatness of Hartlepool. It's definitely always worth it, though.
