This huge wall
You can get the scale from the cars and people at the bottom - is over in Ashton, a part of Bristol I don’t go to much. Except to go and watch Bristol City FC now and again.
I think it’s very much about how a lot of people like to see Bristol - music, bright coloured houses, growing our own food, encouraging bees, alternative energy, cats!
I do like it but also feel we’ve a long way to go. We have TERRIBLE traffic jams and illegal levels of polluted air. The mural is opposite a multinational supermarket which, as far as I can see, has an appalling performance on packaging and recycling. (Aldi). But it’s cheap. Whereas you can go to a food market in the space just by this wall on a Sunday, which is expensive. But I know a lot of people are trying to make changes and do better so I mustn’t be too negative.
I’m over here to go to the bank. My bank has closed - my branch is now here - about 20 minutes by car ( can’t do this journey by bus). Rarely need to go - I suppose that’s why they’re closing. Really heavy rain just as I finished my errands, so had an afternoon at home.
