After the storm

I woke at 6am and snuggled back down to sleep till 8am. Even so, fitbit says 5 hours 28 minutes sleep!
When I got up, a squirrel was eating the nuts in the squirrel box and I noticed that a few things had blown over in our back garden. The parasol seems to have survived and so has the pot with the sunflowers in, despite both blowing over.
There were a few branches off the trees in the avenue and some were quite large. Leaves and seeds from the trees were everywhere and I spent a while this afternoon sweeping them up from our garden paths, drive and just outside our property. There was a lot of hedgehog poo to sweep up as well!
Bolton Food Festival was ruined today as many stalls had blown over and the damage needed fixing. Hope they get it going OK tomorrow.
Didn't take any photos of anything exciting. We did the weekly shop this morning and it was much busier than usual. The main photo is a miniature rose in our front garden. The extra is what I noticed on one of our pier caps this afternoon.
Yesterday we forgot to use the £8 B&Q voucher I got with my B&Q diamond card and Terry noticed today that he also had a voucher for use there. We are hopeless!
This afternoon Terry got a DVLA notification that he needed a test certificate to renew his car tax and only then did he realise he had missed getting his MOT done on time. He used to get reminders but he hasn't had one this time. He went to the chippy in my car. His is booked in for MOT tomorrow.
Our neighbour was asking me if Terry would sell her one of the boxes he makes and I said she'll have to tell him what type she wants and he'll probably give her one of the smaller boxes.
