Humming bird hawk-moth

Worked from home today so that I could do a yoga class at lunchtime.  The Reading festival crowds have already descended on the gym to use the showers and cafe. With the heavy rain forecast for tomorrow I expect it will get busy and very muddy in the changing rooms. 
Sat in the garden after work and chatted. My eye caught something flitting around the hanging baskets that we'd put on the ground to water.  It was my first humming bird hawk-moth of the summer. The first one I ever saw was in Charente maritime on my honey moon many years ago.  I never thought they'd start turning up in my garden.  Such an amazing insect.
