Heide Park

Going way back here, but it's the first time I've had good enough Wifi to post anything. Hopefully I won't have to backtrack this far in the future. Anyways, woke up this morning around 5 and packed for Heide Park with Franzie! We left to pick up Maddie and Hanna and then slept/hung out the 5hr ride there. Things were tense between Maddie and Hanna because they were just not getting along. Its hard enough being with someone for too long that speaks the same language, but when you dedicate one month to spending every second with this one person with a language barrier with huge cultural differences, there are bound to be issues. Franzie and I were doing ok, but we weren't getting along perfect and Maddie and Hanna were worse. We got there and found the campgrounds where we were staying. We checked in and the cabins were adorable. They were bright colors and had suns (like the one in Tangled) on every building. They also had a beach/grilling out area where everyone hung out in the afternoon when they got back from the park. We took the tour of the campgrounds and then headed to the park quickly. We entered the park and I was expecting it to be built for children based on the website, but it was actually pretty legit. We started off in the back of the park with the wooden ride (above) and it was AWESOME. Probably my second favorite ride. We then headed around the backside of the park and looked at some other rides and rode some small ones but Maddie and I eventually ended up splitting up from Hanna and Franzie. This sucked seeing as it was my second to last day with Franzie, but we didn't want to ride the same rides and the tense atmosphere only rose when we didn't agree on things. We rode some other rides and Maddie and I were getting along perfectly. 30 minute long waits in ride lines can really bring people together. We talked literally about everything and it was nice to have a conversation that flowed and was easy. We met up with Franzie and Hanna at the panoramic ride and rode up there together and then headed back to the cabins around 4 to get our room keys. The cabin was a perfect size for one night and four people, the bathrooms, however, were in a separate building but ended up working out fine. We had an inclusive buffet dinner in the main house that afternoon with wings, hamburgers, vegatable koskos(not sure what that is in english), nasty jello, salad, and a few more things. It looked like an american camp meal to me which was somewhat ironic. We ate and talked as everyone was feeling better with food and excitement from the park. Maddie and I then showered and then went back to the cabin to meet up with Franzie and Hanna. We all went to the main beach/park area where they were singing karaoke (awfully, which made it better), playing volleyball, and hanging out. We brought a deck of cards and taught Franzie and Hanna how to play spoons, which is easy to explain, thankfully. We were all getting along flawlessly and ended up having a ton of fun singing, playing, and acting stupid. As it got colder (like ridiculously cold), we decided to head back to the cabin. We all got in bed and talked and then I pretended to be preoccupied with my phone as they argued over the window being open or not. Too many divas in one house. oooooh well. We ended up having a lot of fun, but it sucked that we couldn't all get along better. Maybe tomorrow.....(hint: nope)
