Overdoing It
After a good nights sleep Paddy and I set off in bright and breezy weather for our walk, a decent length one to stretch out the kinks from being on the road yesterday.
Leaving East Wittering we walked beside the road to West Wittering where we had a quick coffee and water stop before continuing out along the shingle beach and dunes on East Head. The area is classed as an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it’s easy to see why. We reached the point of no further, literally, with water on three sides it was time to turn back.
This time when we reached West Wittering we took to the beach for the return leg. The shingle makes walking hard going and we later found from Mark that the storms had altered the profile of the beach so we were continually climbing mounds of the shingle.
Meeting up with Mrs S and Sam for a mid afternoon snack and coffee Paddy and I were surprised to find we had already covered 8 miles.
East Wittering has a ‘proper’ old style greengrocers so having stocked up on fresh fruit we head back to Marks house.
Indian takeaway curry for dinner, delivered.
Surprised at how loud Paddy can snore!
