Summer holiday 2024 day 8

Given the rain on the way down and the forecast downpours for Saturday, we really lucked out with today's weather at the Victorious Festival.

It was a great day to be back at a festival and there was plenty of stuff for kids to do too so Owen was happy and even enjoyed some of the bands we dragged him to as well. There was a Nerf battle*, the world's biggest bouncy castle, a Lidl assault course*, and meeting Spongebob* interspersed with music, singing, and dancing in the sun and finished off with Snow Patrol and Chasing Cars, one of the songs I used to sing him to sleep with, which he enjoyed much more than the extra suggests*, exclaiming at the end, "Lots of people really like that song".

Little man may have had his expectations set too high though with his own chariot for resting, riding, and eating ice cream in*.
