Bank Holiday Monday

Straw flowers (and a few marigolds) at the allotment. I’ll cut some to dry this week. These ones are brighter colours than those I grew last year. I like growing them not only to dry but because they seem to last late into the year if they are left uncut.

I made more cucumber pickle first thing whilst Andy walked Merlin. Then we had a walk altogether around the village. After lunch I spent three hours at the allotment- planting leek seedlings out and weeding.

It was dark by 8.30pm this evening.
