Costa del Yorkshire

We're mainly congratulating ourselves on what a fantastic idea it was to a) come on holiday b) in England and c) to Yorkshire. The scenery around here is surprisingly stunning and the little town of Richmond we visited earlier was really pretty.

Not that we've left the cabin much. I actually didn't think it was possible to have a relaxing holiday when you have a 13 month old toddler but turns out I was wrong. With a little planning and some shift work, the impossible has happened. I feel like I'm on holiday.

We are splitting the day into segments, spending an hour each with Audrey whilst the other reads outside on the decking (it is brutally hot, too hot for her to even be outside), then switching over and/or playing with her together.

I honestly can't think of a time I have seen her more happy. She is getting so much attention and she loves this place. She is one contented little baby in spite of what is intolerable heat (on reflection, a South facing insulated log cabin with a glass frontage might have been a bad idea during a heatwave!)

Angus is cooking steaks tonight and we have a posh bottle of red out to breathe. It's The Apprentice final so that's our night sorted!
