Listen Very Carefully, I Shall Say Zis Only Once!
I had a nice walk with G at Pensthorpe this morning, plus taking loads of photos. My favourite was of the flamingos looking like they were passing secrets. Please see extra for a collage of a white duck, some fungi, a female bearded tit, a coot chick, a flamingo chick and a duckling that had got some vegetation stuck on its beak. The walk started a bit chilly, but it got quite hot and humid as soon as the sun came out. Then I picked up an order at B&Q. This afternoon was lovely weather for sitting in the garden and reading / listening to my audiobook. I'm on chapter 44 of my audiobook and there's still over 20 hours of listening to go (it's World Without End by Ken Follett).
I'm now watching more of the Paralympics, TeamGB are doing so well. I watched a little bit of blind football earlier. It's five a side with the outfield players being blind (they all wear blindfolds as some can detect light), and the goalies being fully or partially sighted. They play using sound, the ball makes sounds as it moves, instructions are shouted by the goalies, there are two other guides also giving instructions, side boards stop the ball going out and the spectators have to keep silent during play. How amazing is that!
