Day 5 in England

My little lady came running downstairs to give me a big morning squish cuddle as we call them. She truly gives the biggest squish cuddles ever! Special breakfast of egg and franks along with chocolate milk as it’s the weekend. She was chuffed! Then all morning all I heard was “we need to go to Auntie Bea’s” or “right then we’ll go STRAIGHT to Auntie Bea’s”. After some little arts and crafts, guess where we ended up?!
AUNTIE BEA’S!!!

She was totally spoilt with lots of new toys including a Happy Valley village collection (my personal favourite), Lego farmyard and some special dolls with a suitcase of accessories from Heidi. The suitcase has since been the most popular part of the toys! She walked it all the way up the hill to the house and up the two flights of stairs to her room. Then bumpety-bumped them back down the stairs to show Daddy.

The lucky girl spent hours playing with the Happy Valley when we got home which gave me time to tidy and prepare dinner. We tried burritos (fajitas). Not sure if we’re a huge fan but she loved creating her own one.

All afternoon she was requesting her version of songs from Alexa…often not getting the song she wanted. But when one came on she did like she would exclaim “Guess who’s singing this one??? Me!”. Little does she know it was Taylor Swift, but let’s not spoil that surprise!

Last activity of the day was writing Miss Foster’s card for her ‘surprise’ present (which she told Miss Foster about when we met her?!) As she put the gift away she said ‘I hope I don’t spoil the surprise for Miss Foster’ by being too excited. She’s a sweetheart.

We had a quick bubble bath so we had time to watch a movie, with more bubbly faces to send to Uncle John. Then Shani got herself all dressed in her new Minnie Mouse PJs, with the tshirt on back to front, but she seems to think that’s the style and happily spins around to show us Minnie Mouse!

Just before bedtime our movie for tonight was Princess Tiana (The Princess and the Frog), 20 mins in and she’s snuggled up to me with Tiana sleeping away. So we’ll finish it for tomorrow’s movie night. Daddy took her to her own bedroom…let’s see how long she lasts… Wish us luck.

New note to self: Shan now DOES like England cheese, and loves Summer Fruits squash.

* When taking the dolls home the girl sat on her lap but the boy sat in his seat (strapped up, of course). However, the boy got jealous so when we got out the car she carried the boy and reassured him “See now I get to carry you, so you don’t need to be jealous”

** The best part of the farm was obviouslyyyy her favourite - the fish. Which she tried to feed to Missy on several occasions.
