Step Into Christmas

Today is the first of September. It is still officially summer (at worst, it’s the first day of meteorological autumn.) I have not yet had my summer holiday.
So I’m sure you can imagine my reaction when I popped into Home Bargains at lunchtime and encountered this aisle. And that reaction was not joy, in case you were wondering.
If I had my way, Xmas merchandise would not be permitted in shops until 1st December at the earliest. Three weeks is ample time to get what you want and there’s always Amazon if you really must have it earlier.
Mind you, I suspect all this will be cleared away on 30th November so they can put the Easter eggs out…
