Wheat harvest
Painter came first thing to do the last coat on the outside doors. It's oil based paint, which lasts; it also takes a long time to dry, so the doors had to be open all day.
Did some more cutting back and weeding around the house.
In the afternoon the combines started up; there was a rush to get the wheatfield (in extra a couple of days ago) cut before the forecast rain arrived. There's a distant tractor with a bogie for the grain, and another one was lined up at the top of the hill. Blip taken in the dull evening. It did all get cut, which will mean much better quality grain and less expense for drying it than if they hadn't got it done.
It's misty and damp this morning, and due to be wetter later.
