A busy morning prior to departing for the airport. Landon taught me how to play the card game Garbage which he naturally excelled at. Then we did a bit of crafts making a ghostly figure out of a paper cup and a ballon diaphragm which popped furry balls into the air when the ballon was twanged.

The it was out for a final brunch at Mariah’s Westwind. I realised we’d been there before.

On then to a park to burn off some energy on the splendid play equipment and play a bit of soccer.

All too soon it was time to drive to the airport and say goodbye to Chris, Landon and Maddy. Just as the grandkids were getting comfortable with me, I have to leave. We’ve done it so many times before and it never gets any easier. So bittersweet coming here.

Sat in departures lounge at 16.25pm with boarding about to start. We arrive in London at 11.15am UK time (3.15am California time) Always want get going at this stage.
