Chalk

Despite my degree in Natural Sciences (mainly chemistry) I had to check what blackboard chalk comprises. Well it was mainly organic chemistry, though I've forgotten most of that too. Calcium carbonate for white chalk, which is one of the most abundant minerals on Earth and accounts for about 4% of the Earth's crust according to Imerys.

We have this blackboard in the kitchen but we never use it now. Alexa keeps track of our shopping list.

Camera club was well attended last night, I almost have too many volunteers this season for member talks.
