Day 7 in England
“Rock and roll”
It’s been quite a day. Up early to drive daddy to work, then had to fill 6 hours before taking Shan for her nursery visit. She played with her toys, we washed my car, watched some tv, got dressed for school and played with Heidi all before school time. Every five minutes asking if school was actually open, why is she going there in the afternoon even though the sun is out, nearly had some tears about it looking like it was going to rain which might mean she can’t go outside once she got to school… I love the mind of a little one.
Having got to school, Shan got super nervous. She played for a little bit and made me a lovely picture with Miss Foster then suddenly came over to me with tears in her eyes saying she felt shy. When we got home she was in tears screaming that she doesn’t want to go to school anymore. We brought in all forces including Auntie Bea and Nana who helped to calm her down a bit. Auntie Bea even stayed for dinner!
Bedtime was the highlight of the day though. The three of us snuggled up and did story time. I read “I’m Feeling Macaroni and Cheese” which ironically was all about emotions and the colours that represent them. We had a lovely talk about being brave and trying even when we’re shy. Daddy then read “I love you, Daddy” - a book I bought him for Father’s Day. It was such a sweet book and Shan seemed to really like it.
Hoping for a nice long sleep for all of us!
* I’d also like to add that she ate two apples, a banana, some water melon and raisins all just as snacks in between her main meals. AND wanted to eat more of all of them!!
