Pied wagtail
First thing this morning, Joe came to fit another pump in our pond. This is the third attempt - the first two each failed after a few weeks. He's trying a different make this time - fingers crossed. Fortunately, there are no fish in the pond - we don't plan to add any, it's going to be a wildlife pond. The oxygenator weed we added hasn't yet got established, so the rill would be the main source of adding oxygen.
Afterwards, we took the car for it's NCT (Irish equivalent of the MOT). It was way overdue - problems with the booking system and capacity.
And then we visited a couple of garden centres - yet more plants were purchased. And a late lunch at the second one.
When we got home, this pied wagtail was hopping around on the rhubarb leaves, looking very cute.
In the evening, I went to the first wind band session of the new season - we're playing for Culture Night again this year - same place as last year, so hoping for good weather.
