Fixing a hole
Ten points to the first blipper to get the musical reference, with 5 bonus points for naming the album on which it can be found.
As to the hole, we think it may have been the culprit in the search for the source of a mystery smell of gas. This has arisen since we had the repair engineer to sort out a burner that wasn't igniting on our new gas hob. He fixed the burner but then we started getting the smell Another engineer came today and tested for gas leaks and, thankfully, found none. He did wonder about the hole which we think had something to do with the previous cooker that was installed there. It had an electric oven and a gas hob. The hole runs back a fair way but is empty and there is a smaller hole next to it. As I'm on a DIY roll at the moment (not someting I can normally boast of but two roller blinds fitted this week!), I mixed up some filler and filled the holes. Now you see 'em, now you don't! All that does remain to be seen, or not smelt, is any lingering aroma of gas.
