Dragons Mating

A beautiful day today, sunny and hot, so perfect weather to find and photograph dragonflies. So after doing some washing and hanging it out to dry, I drove over to Natural Surroundings. Lots of dragons around and quite a few large white butterflies. It was so hot in the sun. Lots of people were visiting the cafe and a few came to the gardens too. I've added an Extra collage.

This afternoon I partly sat in the garden reading - so glorious. I also watched the amazing Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid winning Gold in the wheelchair tennis doubles, meaning they now have a Golden Slam - what a fantastic achievement. This morning I made sure I saw Dame Sarah Storey's 71km cycling race and what an amazing race it was. She was tactically perfect, leading to create a breakaway group of four early on and near the end breaking it down to two. Sarah, 46, then was in a sprint from quite a way out against a19 year old French rider and after initially letting her take a lead, she caught up and passed her at the finish to win her 19th Paralympic Gold medal. It was such a thrilling race. That was immediately followed by Ben Sandilands winning Gold in the 1500m on the track in a World record time - another thrilling finish. What a day for TeamGB.
