Spider's web on the gate
The most remarkable aspect of the day has been the weather. Edinburgh was shrouded in haar when we set off on our journey north this morning. By the time we reached our picnic lunch spot on the grass in the House of Bruar car park, the sun was beating down from a clear blue sky and the temperature was 26 degrees. On arrival at our holiday destination in Wester Ross, the temperature had dropped to 13, and we could barely see more than about 20 metres from the cottage window due to the haar hanging over the bay!
Poor Mr hazelh is still struggling with his cold, so I did all the driving today. Along the way, we listened to The rest is history episodes on the sinking of the Titanic, then a couple of the History's secret heroes programmes narrated by Helena Bonham-Carter.
I blipped this cobweb on our (yarden) gate just before we set off on our travels.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; small amount of walking (8,520 steps).
