Old Father Thames

Today has been an interesting day. The weather has been unseasonably cool and has been overcast with the occasional shower. I travelled from Redhill through the lovely Surrey Hills to Guildford then on to Kingston, which was the best part of the day. The weather picked so I took an hour off travelling to walk down to the river and eat a sandwich on the bank. After that, the weather deteriorated again and journey to Heathrow was uninspiring and beyond that to Northolt where I am staying the traffic was largely gridlocked. Onwards tomorrow into my last county - Hertfordshire.
