Boats

Very much an “admin” sort of day down in Chester today, as I met various people and filled in sundry forms with a view to being able to take over the management of mum’s affairs. She seemed quite happy to let this happen, as she is finding it increasingly difficult to cope with such things due to her dementia.
Between appointments, we made our way down to the river to eat lunch. The torrential rain that greeted us when we arrived in Chester had stopped, the sun had come out and it was really quite pleasant. This row of colourful boats caught my eye as a suitable subject for blip.
After the last form had been delivered, we decided to treat ourselves to a spot of retail therapy at the Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village, rather than just dash straight home. I didn’t find anything myself, but Mrs C bagged a real bargain at the Doc Martens store. See her blip - cosyupwithcathy - for details.
A surprisingly traffic free M6 meant it was an easy journey home and we’re now settling down to tea and a night in front of the telly.
