Day 18 - Our Uralla cottage
Uralla is a lovely village about 20kms from Armidale. Our cottage, built in 1885 on the site of a flour mill, has been beautifully renovated by Rob. We spent the afternoon here, enjoying the sunny verandahs and the glorious spring flowers.
Uralla has a large number of heritage buildings. It’s sad to read that a lot of the iron verandah posts in the main streets were removed in the 1950s, because they ‘damaged cars’. Sadly, a common occurrence in country towns.
