The Case of the Traveling Sandal

I had a different plan for my blip today that involved a voracious monarch caterpillar. And it would have been a nice choice. But Jax had other plans for me.

I had a busy morning with a doctors appointment followed by a yoga class followed by a trip to the local farm and the grocery store. At 3 I was settled back at home and went out to the deck to enjoy the beautiful weather. Jax was with me, of course. I kicked off my flip flops so I could put my feet up - ahhhh. Bliss.

And then I looked down and saw only one flip flop. A quick scan of the garden revealed Jax strolling around with the other shoe. He eventually returned to the deck and carefully put the shoe on his elevated bed before ensconcing himself on a big comfy chair. It made me laugh and touched all the tender parts of my heart. See Extra for the “return.” He loves to grab shoes when he finds them and he is extremely stealthy about it. When he was younger, I think he would have chewed them but that doesn’t seem to be his goal now. Now he just likes to relocate single shoes.

Peg joined me on this mornings yoga class (it’s virtual) which was fun. And tonight we are getting together for a virtual cocktail hour. First time since all the awfulness started.
