Seaside Foraging
To Clovelly Beach for a three-hour seaside foraging workshop. We wandered down to Gordon’s Bay (rock samphire, warrigal greens, sow thistle, buckshorn) then back to Clovelly (rambling dock, wood sorrel, watercress) and out across rock platforms to Shark Point (rock larva, sea lettuce, seaweed). There was some inelegant scrambling over rocks and sloshing through rock pools.
I’m back at Coogee tomorrow with the walking buddy and will take a container and follow rule #1: positively ID it first.
Extras of the day’s harvest and a really smooth and easy section of Shark Point.
