Our 'Main Drag’

The weather is very pleasant at the moment and it’s less humid. Perfect September weather for Barcelona. I think it might be my favourite month.

This is on Calle Nicaragua, next to the Les Corts Park (not our ‘new’ park, but equidistant from our house), and this street is what we refer to as our 'main drag'. It has shops, cafes and restaurants on it and leads up to La Illa shopping centre and Avenida Diagonal.

Another quieter day for me, with some QAE work, some house stuff, and I made a big pot of red lentil, carrot and chorizo soup - some for our freezer and some to hand in to Angels, our neighbour.

We had someone in from the burglar alarm company this afternoon as one of the sensors was sending out false signals and seeing the alarm off as we left the house. He was here for 90 mins.’ All sorted’, he said, having put in a new sensor unit and new batteries in everything. It all checked ok. Unfortunately, we noticed the wee control box showing up red again at night, when it should be green. Hopefully we can get this fixed with a phone call.

I took this pic in the morning I went for a short walk in the morning and to stock up on Cheddar cheese from Bon Preu. Not sure how I came out the shop with a full bag of things!
